Manufacturing Engineering

Our manufacturing engineering department works in coordination with our design department.

The part design and the process design run together. The Process design uses the outputs of the part design. It determines the forging line the part will forged in, the manufacturing steps that the part will follow, the cutting weight of the raw material and also initiates the preparation of the necessary documentation foreseen in the system.

Subsequently, the gages and other measuring instruments are selected and put into control plan where the hot forging drawing of the part is also present.

Related with the critical dimensions on the part, we also supply a form called “Lessons Learned” to the production. This form is mainly the summary of the PFMEA we applied on the part, but also containes the previous expereinces we had during the forging of either this part or a similar one to it.

Forged parts are subject to periodical checks. The records of this checks and forms are stored for 3 years for traceability.

ME department, together with quality department, plans and programs trainings for our staff and measures the effeciency of these trainings
